Keren Precel of Simply Perfect Events knows how to throw one impressive kiddie party. With the majority of summer still ahead of us, we asked her to share three ideas for al fresco celebrations for the littles. She didn’t disappoint.
Splash Bash. Take a classic pool party to the next level with chic floats galore. For the table, craft paper offers an alternative to plastic tablecloths, and bright, reusable plates and cups are a nice upgrade. In the favor department, skip the junk and gift them goggles and printed tees, instead. Bubbles, pool noodles, or buckets and sand toys are all welcome treats, too. Pastel Princess Party. This one was thrown on a rooftop with the Manhattan skyline as its backdrop, but it could also be replicated in a backyard (or, wherever). Serve sandwiches on cake stands and cake pops on a candy bed. Plus, a princess cake, naturally. Keren topped the tables with coloring/activity books and plastic eggs for the little party guests to fill with candy and toys as a way to unwind after running around (good for those fine motor skills, too). Ahoy, Matey. Send little pirates for a walk down the plank with this easily executed party game, then lead them on a hunt for buried treasure. Fries, popcorn, chips, or other snacks are more fun to eat in a cone, and Keren swears you don’t have to be a craft master to DIY this rustic backdrop.
