There’s always been plenty of green fodder in the baby world. But in light of last week’s announcement that emerald is the official Pantone color of 2013, expect a departure from the usual pastels and mints—in favor of deeper, darker, and brighter shades of the classic nursery neutral.
For some early ideas on how to weave the color into your nursery, check out the Serpentine rug by Capel; Ferm Living’s Animal Farm wallpaper; Kate Spade’s green silver-plated frame; and this Silly Soft Seating by P’kolino. We’re also digging Chewbeads’ Perry teething necklace, in emerald green, and these adorable Puma infant kicks.
And of course we can’t help but wonder if Pinkalicious author Victoria Kann had some early intel on the trend, considering the next installment in her book series is Emeraldalicious, due out at the end of January.
