Williamsburg Cool Crosses The Bridge
Artists & Fleas pops up in Chelsea Market
Known for its old-world charm and unique merch mix, Williamsburg's Artists & Fleas market has landed inside Chelsea Market, where Brooklyn designers will be selling their sustainably made local goods for the next six months.
Vendors rotate, but for now our faves include Juli Raja's hand-stitched, block-printed shirts and dresses (at Chelsea through July 14); Chalkboard Tees, which come with a pocket for chalk (from $26.99); and Sweatertoys (arriving later this month), whose hand-sewn stuffed animals are made from gently used sweaters and vintage fabrics (from $40). From July 15th through the 21st, look for Bugged Out; their organic cotton onesies, t-shirts, and hoodies are silkscreened with fruits, veggies, and (cute) bugs (from $23).
Vendors for the upcoming week are posted on the website every Sunday; the market is open daily, from 10am to 7pm.
