Two Webshops Hit The Street

Kindred and Olivia & Owen set up temporary retail spots

We've been following Kindred since their launch last summer. Their idea of upcycling cherished fabrics into new baby clothes always struck us as clever, so we're psyched to check out their stylish wares first-hand, at a trunk show on Saturday, April 20th. Expect over 150 cotton, silk, and cashmere pieces from their readymade collection, in sizes 0 – 4 years. (Prices range from $35 - $290.) If you want to bring in dad’s old shirts or other sentimental fabrics, custom orders start at $225. Cash and checks are preferred over credit cards. RSVP’s are encouraged. And from April 29th through May 3, Olivia & Owen will be hosting a pop-up on the UES. The sweet label, which recently expanded from fancy lounge wear to include a complete line of children's clothes, will be stocking super summery items like pink-and-white stripe elastic bowtie shorts ($45) and a 4th of July star v-back sundress ($165) for girls; and a blue-and-white stripe romper ($65) and casual shorts ($55) for boys, in sizes 6 months and up. Plus, get a sneak peek and first shot at pre-orders for the Winter 2013 collection. Face painting and cupcakes will keep the kids happy, too. Cash or credit.
