Cupcake snobs across Manhattan are about to do one helluva celebration dance: Sprinkles Cupcakes is finally coming to New York. The Beverly Hills originator of the gourmet cupcake craze is opening a bakery tomorrow (May 13), just a stone's toss from Bloomingdale's. Founder Candace Nelson, who hosts the Food Networks's Cupcake Wars, pulled out all the stops for her latest store. The best part? A darling party room for tots, with mini ottoman poufs that look like cupcakes. (Beyond cute.) You can special-order mini cupcakes for parties as well as custom toppers, based on any image or logo you provide. They'll also organize frosting demonstrations and cupcake-decorating parties. Let the birthday party waitlists begin.
