Spring Fashion Forecast

What’ll be in store and on-trend for tots

Spring Fashion Forecast

Although we’re still in scarf-and-mittens mode, spring shipments have begun to roll in. In an effort to get first dibs, we've asked our favorite kids' stores in the City to tip us off on the trendy pieces they think will sell out first. Get 'em while you can.

Crewcuts loves nautical stripes. Lots of navy-and-white stripes are landing at Crewcuts; among them are the stripe relay dress for girls ($45), and clubhouse stripe tee ($24.50) and stickball stripe lobster tee ($29.50) for boys (from size 2).

25Park digs bubbles. 25Park will have a selection of Dagmar Daley’s cutesy printed bubbles (pictured, $88) in March.

Kidville's All About Splendid. Starting mid-February, you can scoop up Splendid’s adorable top-and-bottom sets, like the Palm Stripe Asymmetric Seam Crew with Cargo Pants ($70) for boys, and Carnival Dye Racerback Tank with Leggings for girls ($70); sizes 2T and 4T, at the Kidville Boutiques.

Lester's is betting on Crochet. Lester's doesn't expect its January 30th shipment of Rag Doll & Rockets' multi-crochet mini shorts ($39, 2T-4T) to last long. They're also stocking up on Topo Ranch’s organic tees with prints like sunglasses or drum sets ($32) the first week of March ($32).

Yoya believes in Soft Gallery. In April, the store will be devoting an entire shelf to the up-and-coming brand's printed and embroidered jersey tees and hoodies ($100 and up).

Atsuyo +Akiko is giving props to Mickey. Their just-arrived organic Mickey & Minnie tee ($46-$48) is this spring's #1 must-have item, according to the store.
