Cut It Up

Yet another hair salon for kids

Cut It Up

Looks like every neighborhood wants its own specialty kids' salon now. Right on the heels of the UES debut of Sharkey's Cuts for Kids, Beehives & Buzzcuts has opened its doors on the border of Gramercy and Stuyvesant town.

Conceived by the mom of a four-month-old, Beehives & Buzzcuts has the usual distractions to help keep small tots in their seats: fun chairs (a horse, airplane, or car), individual TVs, and toys aplenty. There's also a bright yellow manicure station and elaborate butterfly pedicure chairs ($12 manicures, $15 pedicures, and yes they use non-toxic polish).

Cuts are $30, plus $10 for a wash and blow dry. Additional styling options include bang trims, French braids, feather extensions, undos, and mohawks.
