Arm Candy

The next bracelet craze for tots.

Arm Candy

At the beginning of the summer, we heard some buzz that Bracedlets were the next Silly Bandz. Then we saw that they're made from those teeny elastic orthodontic rubber bands and could come with a box that looks like a retainer case, and we thought, Hmm, let's see where this goes. But a month later, we've spotted them on cool kids' websites like Fearless and Freckles, at trendsetting Lester's on the UES, and in a storefront in Southampton (with a sign that says, "Bracedlets are here!"). So, yup, it looks like they're officially the latest wrist craze.

The colorful mix-and-match bands are the invention of NYC-based orthodontists Dr. Marc Lemchen and Dr. Jennifer Salzar, and Salzar’s sister, Lisa, who also designs the Lulu Frost jewelry collection. As mentioned above, you can find them at Lester's and on fearlessandfreckles.com; from $4.99.
