Things We Heart For V-Day
Festive gifts for baby’s first Valentine’s Day
Flowers and candy are kind of lost on babies, but there are plenty of other ways to make a fuss over them on February 14th. We’ve rounded up a few gifty ideas from around town for spoiling your little one.
Crewcuts offers something irresistible for every holiday; check out their “heart me” cashmere baby sweater ($145). On the greener side of things, UES eco-shop Sprout San Francisco has a pink and red heart-patterned receiving blanket ($39) made from 100 percent organic cotton, and also a wooden heart clutching toy from Haba ($16). In the cuddle department, we love the idea of dads giving daughters FAO’s Penelope the Pup—the bigger the better ($34.99 – $299.99). We also found a fun color me! assortment of nut-free, valentine-shaped cookies at Eleni’s; they come with plain white icing and edible ink markers for scribbling ($75). And for some instant (and temporary) V-Day spirit in the nursery, NYC-based Wall Candy Arts has two new wall decal sets, called Love (letters and hearts) and Whoo Loves You (owls and hearts) ($22 each).
