These Babies Are Adorable

Take a peek at the Bronx Zoo's newest arrivals

babygorillas

For a guaranteed squeal, help your toddler spot the baby gorillas at the Bronx Zoo. There are two of them (not yet named and genders unknown) in the Congo Gorilla Forest. Born on March 10 and April 17, the teeny creatures are still hanging tightly to their mamas, Julia and Tuti—and will be until about mid-summer, when they'll begin to break away for some independent romping.

While you're there, swing by the African Plains to watch the lion cubs, born last fall. Your chances of seeing the four super-playful siblings in action are pretty good.

The Bronx Zoo is open daily from 10am to 5pm on weekdays and 5:30pm on weekends, now through October. Admission is $12.95 for kids 3 to 12, $16.95 for adults, and free for kids under 3. Parking is $15. Check the website for entrances and directions.
