The OMG Of Story Hours
Readings by Mo Willems and other kidlit heavyweights
One of the many reasons we love the MoMA Design Store is the awesome (not to mention, free) Children’s Author series it kicked off last fall. As it turns out, the 2013 lineup is even better—starting with Mo Willems this Saturday, February 2nd. Pigeon and Knuffle Bunny fans can visit the Soho location from 11am to noon to meet the author, hear him read an excerpt from his most recent book, and participate in a Pigeon and Mad Cow puppet-making activity inspired by Willems’ Don’t Let the Pigeon Finish this Activity Book. Bring your own copy to be autographed by the Sesame Street alum, or purchase one onsite. Admission is free and first-come, first-serve, so plan to arrive early.
The series continues on Saturday mornings with Amber C. Jones, author of New York, Phew York: A Scratch and Sniff Adventure (3/2); Joe McKendry, author of One Times Square (3/23); Herve Tullet, author of I am Blop and Game of Shadows (4/13); Oliver Jeffers, author of This Moose Belongs to Me (5/4); and Frank Viva, author of A Long Way Away (6/1).
