Something New At The Bookstore

Swaddle Waddle lands at Books of Wonder

Bookstore culture is a big part of raising a baby in New York—whether you’re buying, browsing, or just dodging bad weather. So it seems fitting that one of our favorite neighborhood storefronts, Books of Wonder, is providing a roof for the new(ish) Mommy & Me program, Swaddle Waddle.

Classes designed for little ones ages 4 months to 3 years include Songs & Storytime (exploring the ABC’s, animals, and colors through oversized books and live music; Fridays at 10:30 and 11:30; mixed ages, 45 min.) and Movement & Minds (re-enacting nursery rhymes through dance, yoga stretches, and parachutes; Mondays and Wednesdays; classes by age, 45 min.). There’s also a monthly Dad-urday! music class for fathers who want to log in some class time. Enrollment is rolling and costs $28 per class, $130 for a five-pack, or $240 for a 10-pack. Bonus: class participants get a 10 percent store discount. You can register at swaddlewaddle.com
