This November, Lanvin is launching a girls' collection for ages 4 to 10. According to New York magazine, the initial 25-piece collection will include dresses, tees, sweaters, coats, and accessories. (No word yet on whether pint-sized ballet flats will be in the offing.) In any case, it's pretty much guaranteed to both break the bank and be flipping brilliant.

The American Academy of Pediatrics just announced new guidelines for car seat safety. Parents are now advised to keep toddlers in rear-facing car seats until age 2, or until a child reaches the maximum height and weight for a rear-facing seat. (The oft-cited 12 months and 20 pounds guideline, they say, was merely a minimum.)
