A new catering service for birthday parties
Pizza is a birthday party staple for a reason: it’s a crowd pleaser, not to mention affordable and easy to serve. But one New York mom is betting there’s a market for healthier offerings. Cara Buffalino-Silman and her business partner Thomas Stevans have just launched Freshmade NYC, a catering and event planning company tailored for tots. Yes, they can do pizza, but they also serve things like cream cheese and banana bites, veggie pancakes, and tri-colored tortilla chips served with sweet mango-berry salsa. They can make tea sandwiches for princess parties or safari-themed sandwiches in the shapes of lions, rhinos, and monkeys—served with jungle punch made from fresh fruit and agave nectar. And yes, they’re happy to work around allergy and dietary restrictions as well. Freshmade delivers throughout New York City; prices start at $10 per child.
