It’s All About Helping Others This Year
Ways to support local families in need this holiday
It’s an insanely busy time for everyone, but we know “helping others” is high on most New Yorkers’ lists this week. To that end, we’ve rounded up a few worthy causes that support children and families in need—right here in New York. Two of our favorites include the Pajama Program, which delivers bundles of PJs and books to children in foster care and group homes; and Baby Buggy, which collects and distributes new and gently used baby gear and clothing to community organizations. Additionally, the Lulu & Leo Fund—founded in memory of the Krim children—aims to provide underprivileged children with access to tot-friendly programming for the arts and sciences; and the Brooke Jackman Foundation promotes youth literacy with book and reading programs throughout the City. They are all wonderful causes, and easy to support.
We wish our New York readers a wonderful holiday break. We’ll see you in 2013!
