Five essentials for splash-time at summer camp

For most tots, the best part about summer camp is water time. Whether your kids’ camp has a heated indoor pool or just some hoses on the roof, here are the five things they’ll need to bring.

A swimsuit that screams summer.
OshKosh b’Gosh has some surprisingly adorable styles this year, like this watermelon one-piece ($15) or these octopus swim trunks ($18.75).

An odor-resistant wet bag.
Stash sopping swim suits (or wet undies, on accident days) in Flight 001’s Go Clean Wet Suit bag ($18) or Go Gaga’s Stuff Sack ($15).
A silly towel.
The Mini Beach Towels from Pottery Barn are perfectly sized, easy to tote, and come in a bunch of fun styles, including Super Heroes. Plus, you can have them personalized. $19, at potterybarn.com.

Non-slip shoes.
For the anti-Crocs crowd, Salt Water makes a great selection of water-friendly sandals for girls and boys.
Personalized labels for all of the above.
The water-proof stick-on clothing labels from Oliver’s Labels come with the usual cutesy graphics, or cool patterns like camo and polka dot. $19.99 for a pack of 70 at oliverslabels.com.
