Because A Toddler Silhouette Is Art
CMANY hosts a shadow-making workshop
Since shadows tend to solicit giggles from toddlers, the upcoming Shadow Playground workshop at the Children’s Museum of the Arts should be a hit. Bring your child to the museum from 3pm to 5pm on August 22, 23, 28, or 29 to work with New Victory Theater teaching artists Margot Fitzsimmons and Spencer Lott. They'll show kids how to create and manipulate their own shadows by using their bodies, changing light, and mixed media materials. Each session has room for up to 20 kids. There’s no fee beyond the $11 museum admission (kids under 1 are free); sign-up is on-site. Caregivers are required to stay.
