Be Still Our Shopping Hearts

Wovenplay opens its first retail concept

wovenplay

Greenpoint families (and those willing to schlep there) are in for a real treat: Wovenplay has just opened its first store, inside the Brooklyn-based label’s studio.

Head over on a weekend (the shop is only open on Saturdays and Sundays from 11am to 6pm) to browse their new spring styles—rompers with gorgeous French binding, linen collars, and pearl buttons ($90), hand-printed swimsuits ($106), and sundresses with Italian glass beads ($108). There’s also a revolving selection of limited-edition samples and slightly modified or one-of-a-kind items that you can’t find anywhere else—deeply discounted (!). And to keep little ones busy while you shop, there’s a large coloring table and play area.

Most items are made with Wovenplay's notably super-soft organic cotton; sizes range from 6 months to 10 years, but this summer you'll also be able to pick up hand-printed, vintage-inspired adult tees and swimwear. Nice.
