Babies Sure Do Love Their Music

Kindermusik lands in NYC

Little guitarist on a white background.

New Yorkers aren't exactly hurting for baby music classes, but it's nice to have choices. The newest, Kindermusik International, offers up the usual mix of instrument play, dancing, and in-house songs. We like that every instructor has a musical pedigree, including a master's degree in music education. Choose from three classes: Cuddle & Bounce (0 to 18 months); Sing & Play (1-2 years); and Wiggle & Grow (2 - 3 years). Tuition is $480 (plus a $50 one-time registration fee) for a 12-week semester; the current session ends April 18th. Drop-in classes are $42. For now, classes are being held at Citibabes in SoHo (52 Mercer St.) and at Sprout San Francisco on the UES (1375 Third Ave.), but they plan on having their own space by the end of this year. Enrollment is open at makingmelodiesnyc.com or kidzcentralstation.com.
