Another Reason To Visit FAO Schwarz

Taste Buds Kitchen opens an interactive shop

It might not be quite as thrilling as the make-your-own-Muppet workshop, but we’re still planning to check out the new Taste Buds Kitchen kiosk, opening inside FAO Schwarz this week. Smartly situated across from the jumbo piano on the second floor, the kids’ cooking pop-up will sell age-appropriate cooking accessories (child-sized aprons, whisks, cookbooks) alongside a hands-on cupcake creation station: for ten dollars, your kid will get a pre-baked cupcake plus the requisite frosting, fondant, sprinkles, an icing spreader, and cookie cutters—and for an extra buck or two, decorative edible sugar stamps like birthday candles, flags, hearts, and footballs.
