A New Take On Dress-Up

Wovenplay launches pretend-play clothing

We’re big fans of Wovenplay. (Like really big fans.) And we've gotta say, the Greenpoint-based label's newest addition is genius: machine-washable pretend-play clothes. Each costume in the Aventuur collection is sold as a two-piece set; accessories like a pine sword, pouch, and fairy wings (coming soon) are sold separately. Fashioned from materials such as silk, moleskin, and Italian cotton, costumes including Ballerina, Cowboy, Knight, and Pirate feature lovely details like hand-dying, hand-printing, and hand-cut appliqués. (They're gorgeous.) Costume sets are $104 each, available from size 2; accessories start at $16. The collection is available for pre-order on the website now, and should ship about two weeks from the date you place an order. Soon, you’ll see it in boutiques including Yoya (636 Hudson St., West Village) and Acorn (323 Atlantic Ave., Brooklyn).
