We think people who take kids’ fashion very seriously are a little weird. That said, it’s fun to discover locally designed labels on the rise—before they’re splashed all over the pages of Us Weekly. So we caught up with Jennifer Kunski, children’s buyer at Ron Robinson’s Lifesize Kids boutique to see which up-and-coming designers are on her radar these days.

The best thing we discovered at last month’s Plush show is Manny and Simon, a new SoCal company turning out beautifully designed step stools, rockers, and jumbo push toys—plus a coordinating apparel line.
