Someone To Talk To

The Pump Station brings on a psychologist

Most of the nursing moms we know have turned to the Pump Station for products or advice (or both) at one time or another. And now the new-mom Mecca has added yet another resource: an on-staff psychologist. Jill Campbell, Psy.D., who brings more than 20 years of experience in parenting, early childhood development, and women's issues, is available for individual, couples, or family therapy sessions (in-store, in-home, or on the phone), to work through concerns like postpartum depression, stress reduction, and tantrums (from $150 per 55-minute session). Beyond private sessions, Campbell will teach two Mommy & Me workshops—an eight-week class organized by babies' ages and milestones ($300) and a less formal, drop-in post-natal support group for new moms ($25 per class). Campbell will primarily work from the Westlake Village location, though she’ll spend Thursdays in Santa Monica to host a 1pm drop-in Mommy & Me Support Group and 6:30pm Pre-Natal Support Group. Plus, any mom who attends Pump Station's Breastfeeding Class will score a (free) fifteen-minute phoner with Campbell.
