They had us at “disco parties for toddlers”
Hollywood’s latest addition to the play space market has siblings in mind. In addition to the usual dance, art, and gym offerings for older tots, http://www.romp-la.com <http://www.romp-la.com/>" target="_blank">Romp (opening April 30th) features a 3’s-and-under room with non-toxic sand and the obligatory play kitchen and house. The 5,000 square-foot space also has a new outpost of Studio City’s adorable earth-friendly kids’ shop, Entertaining Elephants, plus a sprawling climbing structure, a reading area, and even wi-fi for multi-tasking moms. But the star attraction may very well be Finn, a horse who’s all of 34-inch tall and can make appearances at birthday parties. Starting in June, Romp will be hosting Disco Fridays, bi-monthly pizza-and-dance parties for kids (toddlers to age 6). That sounds fun, too, but we’re still thinking about the horse. 34 inches? Really?
Dance and Art classes, $20; open play, $15 plus $7.50 for additional siblings; birthday parties start at $625.
