Introducing pipopipo infant socks

Watch out, Trumpette. There’s a new (and pretty flippin’ cute) line of baby socks in town. pipopipo is the brainchild of Matthew and Kanako Sanders, Angelino parents of toddler twins, who were inspired by the local aesthetic of kawaii (which translates as cute) while living in Japan. You’ll notice the pipopipo sock pals (Lin the panda, Mimi the bunny, and Busby the bee) have a decidedly anime feel. But what we really love is that the socks, sized newborn to 12 months, are made with bamboo-based rayon and feature non-slip bottoms for busy crawlers and cruisers. Oh, and cute socks are only the beginning: a full pipopipo apparel collection is slated to debut next year.

A set of six socks is $35, at pipopipoclothing.com or Fred Segal LA.
