Where To See Snow This Weekend

Faux winter days at the Los Angeles Zoo

This Saturday and Sunday (only), there will be manmade snowstorms in several animal habitats at the Los Angeles Zoo, where the American black bear, Sumatran tigers, snow leopards, otters, and seals will spend two days frolicking in the white stuff. (Too cute.) The weekend event, called Snow Days at the Los Angeles Zoo, will be held primarily in the zoo’s Eucalyptus Grove area, and will feature special visitors (penguins from the Aquarium of the Pacific) on Sunday. Here’s to a dose of real winter and cool animals, all in one outing. $17 for adults; $12 for children 2 to 12; free for children under 2.
