They Just Might Sit Still

Captivating theater for tiny show goers

Puppet shows are a great intro to the arts—especially when the stories are as sweet and the sets as beautifully designed as those at Geppetto’s Marionette Theater. The local company’ s latest show, The Little Mermaid just opened in a 100-seat space at the Hilton Anatole—with hand-carved puppets that look like something out of a seventeenth-century toymaker’s workshop. And the show, which runs through September 21, is a totally do-able 45 minutes. Behind-the-scenes tours are available after the curtain drops, for toddlers with serious stamina.

Seating is general admission, so get there early to grab a good seat. Tickets are $16 for children ages 0 to 18; $18 for adults.
