Shop owners dish about their fall fashion faves
It certainly doesn’t feel like fall yet. But now’s the time to shop for tweeds and cable knits. To help us get in the mood, we asked three of our favorite Dallas baby boutiques about their favorite finds for the chilly season.
Baby Bliss owner Carrie Barnard is all about Blueberry Hill’s newborn hats ($28). She says the one-of-a-kind designs are perfect for babies’ first photos (her favorite is the cream, cable-knit Quinn with pom poms). Bianca Colgin of Little Bean is still digging the bohemian trend, but with a Hollywood-inspired twist: she’s loving Peas and Queues’ shaggy, white, waist-length vest with pink silk lining ($74). And Ailsa Hurley from Layette is smitten with UK label Rachel Riley. Hurley says the traditionally inspired line, known for its in-house fabric designs and smocking, knocked it out of the park with the fully-lined Bow Print dress ($175), which rocks a Peter Pan collar and matching bloomers.
