Adorable (and practical) apr├Ęs-swim accessories

When it comes to water gear, a sweet swimsuit is just the beginning. (Especially for babies and toddlers, who probably won't last all that long in the water anyway.) Here are the cover-ups, hats, sandals, and more that we're loving this season.

A hooded towel, like the Turtle Baby Beach Wrap ($19) from Pottery Barn Kids, is as handy after a swim as it is after a bath. Hanna Andersson's Swimmy Sunhat ($16) has a big brim—and ties on so it will stay put. Keep the post-swim chill away with a Lilly Pulitzer Cassine cover-up ($68) or a Hanna Andersson shark fin hoodie ($30). Props to Hoy Shoe Company for making water-friendly sandals ($29.95) that actually look like sandals. And while they might not be the most practical option, baby Havaianas never get old ($17). For future eyewear snobs, the Maui Jim Baby Beach Sunglasses ($279) are absurdly cool. But a baby in (just slightly more reasonably priced) Babiators ($20) is pretty irresistible, too.
