Not Your Everyday Handmade

A talented local mom launches children’s wear online

It's not often that you see handmade children's dresses sewn by a designer with a fashion pedigree. But local blogger and mom of three, Jenna Kingman, is the real deal; she studied fashion design at the University of Texas at Austin and fashion illustration at Parsons in Paris. And now she's selling her gorgeous Liberty of London printed frocks online via J.W.K. Baby Kids & Home.

Kingman initially started sewing the dresses for her oldest daughter, Pearl; they're made with 100 percent cotton and tie at the shoulder, making it easy to adjust as the child grows—they can even be worn as tunics with leggings down the road.

Check out the pink zoo tie dress or the blue floral tie dress ($38 each). There are also headbands ($15), monogrammed bibs ($30), and bowties ($20). So stinking cute.
