Mom Advice From Those Who Know

CORE Parent Coaching offers support group-style help

The best advice comes from moms who’ve been there. That’s the idea behind the CORE Circle, a new support group-ish program from CORE Parent Coaching. Starting October 1 and led by CORE founder (and Dallas mom), Galit Birk, PhD, the circle promises intimate parenting discussions among small groups of eight to twelve moms. Each session kicks off with a weekly gratitude, followed by various exercises and discussions about a pre-designated topic—where perspectives will range from those currently going through it to those who have survived it. CORE Circles will meet once a week or biweekly for 60 minutes, and cost $150 for a ten-session series. Circle times and registration details are available online; virtual circles are in the works ($120 per series). And if you aren't thrilled about sharing with strangers, you can create your own circle—with eight of your mom friends.
