Luxe New Baby Clothes
Dallas mom Catalina Gonzalez launches Dondolo
Sure, most moms would like to swaddle their bundles of joy in silk and cashmere if it were affordable. Or machine washable. SMU grad Catalina Gonzalez agrees. So the 27-year old Dallas mom turned to the next best thing: velvety-soft Peruvian pima cotton. Her new company, Dondolo, offers more than 150 items, from collared bodysuits and booties to sleep sacks, diaper covers, bath robes, and bibs. The label leans classic-chic, and it’s chock full of solid staples, simple prints (we love the gray and white mini polka dot), and sweet details such as lace ruffles, little bows, and handsmocking. For every garment sold, Gonzalez donates one to an impoverished child in Columbia, which is where she was born. The clothes are sized newborn to 2T, and range in price from $10 to $85.
