The fastest track to Cool Mom status is to book Gypsy Scoops for your next shindig. The new mobile ice cream parlor dishes sixteen yummy flavors (red velvet, cookie dough) out of a colorful, 20-foot trailer. Owner Julie Markley, mother of two, hand-scoops the ice cream for guests and is the brains behind cheeky flavors like Windy Van Hooten (cheesecake with white chocolate chunks and raspberry swirl). For fall, expect seasonal flavors such as cinnamon, pumpkin, and peppermint. You can inquire about available dates (fall weekends are filling fast) and pricing via email, but as a rule of thumb, most events have a 50-person minimum—at $3.50 a pop.
