Bump It Out
A unique way to photograph your pregnancy
No matter how uncomfortable your pregnancy (especially in this freaking heat), it’s a nice idea to document that beautiful bump. Maternity nudes aren’t for everyone, so we dig the idea of Connie Roper‘s ethereal underwater photo sessions for moms-to-be. The Dallas photographer, who says seven months is the ideal time to shoot, arrives equipped with a few props but suggests expecting mamas have a two-piece bathing suit on hand, along with sheaths of graphic, bright fabric to chicly hug curves. If you don’t have access to a pool, Roper happily hosts subjects at her own North Dallas digs, or at her photography studio in Fair Park. Maternity sessions are $550 and include the shoot, a CD with 25-plus edited images, and matching 5x7 proof prints; underwater photography is available through late September.
