A New Kind Of Tummy Time

Tumtees bring mom and baby closer

We’re fans of anything that can help strengthen that mom-and-baby bond. So we’re intrigued by the idea behind Tumtee Close Knits, a new line of t-shirts designed specifically to help moms interact with their babies. The soft cotton tees feature graphic designs—animals, shapes, numbers, colors—meant to inspire wearers to do more holding, playing, and bonding with baby. The founders are two Dallas moms who recommend trying tummy-to-tummy time while donning the tees to bolster early sensory learning. There are currently three styles available: Love Shapes, Peekaboo, and Three Little Owls; more designs will be released next month. Buy them online ($38 each) or at the Nasher Sculpture Center Store (2001 Flora St., Downtown).
