We all aspire to be the kind of moms that make homemade fruit bars. But, yeah. In the meantime, there’s Hip Pops. Created by Baylor Grapevine chef Ben Bates, the vegan and gluten-free pops are made with fresh-squeezed fruits, organic sugar, and filtered water to create sweet and tart seasonal flavors that sound like a hip hop concert lineup: Master P-ina (coconut-pineapple-lime), Busta Limes (cucumber-lime-jalapeno), and Tribe Called Zest (blueberry-lemon). The pops are sold from food trucks around town (you can find them on Twitter and Facebook). Or, have Hip Pops cater your next shindig out of a cute party cart; prices start at $1.50 a pop for a 50-piece minimum order.
