Zen Out With The Big Guys

The Lincoln Park Zoo hosts mom-and-tot yoga

toddleryoga

Mom-and-me yoga classes are available all over this town, but we’re especially psyched to do some downward facing dogs with two gorilla toddlers (and their moms) at the Lincoln Park Zoo’s new yoga series.

Starting in April, you and your little one (aged 2 to 5) can work on poses next to the gorilla environment at the Regenstein Center for African Apes. The hour-long sessions start with easy-to-follow tutorials on creative animal poses from two trained instructors, and end with nature play, story time, and songs.

Child-sized yoga mats are first-come, first-served, and parents are encouraged to bring their own mats. Classes will be held on April 3, 10, 17, and 24 at 9am. It’s $56 per child, $48 for member children; adults are free. Register at lpzoo.com.
