What's Old Is New

The new Vinted Kids app has just landed in Chicago, making it easy for parents to sell, buy, or exchange used clothing and kids gear in a hyperlocal setting. For littles, you can unload or score baby and maternity clothing, diaper bags, strollers, toys, and furniture in the app's marketplace. To list an item, just upload photos, add a description including condition, name your price (a minimum of $5), and choose a shipping option (labels are provided via email, the buyer pays). Hit the “I want it” button to buy. Arrangements can also be made through the app for items marked as a swap, and it’s built with a location feature so parents can easily meet up to exchange large items. Take advantage of the forum, where you can connect with other local parents through the user community. And to keep it all above board, there’s a full-time moderation team keeping an eye on all items uploaded and the transactions, and payments are held until items are accepted by buyers. The app is free, download it here. (And FYI, there's no selling fee now, but a fee of $0.50 plus 15 percent of the item's listed price will be added soon.)
