Frog and Toad captivate little audiences

FrogToad

Taking a toddler to a live show can be tricky, but chances are they’ll get into A Year With Frog and Toad, at the Chicago Children’s Theatre. The 70-minute production reels 'em in with quirky costumes, catchy musical numbers, and a hilarious script chronicling the journey of Frog (the cheery one) and Toad (the grumpy one) as they navigate the seasons—planting a garden, raking leaves, sledding, and swimming. In the end, Frog and Toad learn vital life lessons on the importance of friendship and embracing differences. The show runs Wednesdays through Saturdays (and occasionally on Tuesdays) through November 24th (check show times on the website). Adults are $38, and children are $28 to $33. Stroller parking is available in the lobby, but be sure to give your little one a snack before going in since there’s no food allowed in the theater.
