Pretend Play Awesomeness

Circus Zirkus opens at the CCM

CircusZirkus

Circus aspirations run strong in the little-kid crowd. For a taste of what it's all about, take ‘em to the new Circus Zirkus exhibit at the Chicago Children’s Museum.

Through July 31, young children can swing on a mini trapeze, walk a tightrope, or rummage through a dress-up box full of crazy wigs, clown costumes, and silly accessories. There’s a light and sound stage, where little ones can perform their own shows, along with pretend-play hot dog and ice cream stands, ticket booths, and bleachers for parents to sit and watch it all go down.

The museum is open Wednesday through Friday, 10am-5pm, and Thursdays, 10am-8pm. Admission is $14 for adults and children; babies under 1 year are admitted free.
