Our Kind Of Pedicures

Non-toxic pampering for expecting (and new!) moms

prettypedicure

A good pedicure can go a long way toward making a pregnant or nursing mom feel like her old self. So we’ve scoured the city to round up a few of the best non-toxic yet ultra-indulgent services for tired tootsies.

At Noktivo Nontoxic Spa and Beauty Boutique (4831 N. Damen Ave, Lincoln Square), all polishes are vegan or water-based with no parabens, sulfates, phthalates, or formaldehydes. Our favorite seasonal service is the oatmeal cookie pedicure, for $55. Heaven. Revive Nails & Co. (1144 N.Milwaukee Ave, Noble Square) has a great organic pedicure ($30) that includes a fresh citrus cleanser, essential oils, vegan and toxin-free polish, and organic shea butter (divine). Add on an herbal sea salt scrub ($8) or softening callus repair ($7) to really smooth things out. CiCi Nails (3323 N. Lincoln Ave., Lakeview) uses Zoya natural polishes in their luxe cuccio papaya and guava pedicure ($60), which includes a therapeutic massage, callus repair, foot buff, mineral foot mask, and deep dermal transforming wrap. Nice.
