The Lincoln Park Zoo shows off its new baby rhino

Baby Rhino in outside habitat

Sahar the African lion may be the Lincoln Park Zoo’s main attraction, but we can't wait to meet King. The endangered Eastern Black baby rhino was born about a month ago, on August 26, but now's the time to bring the tots, as he can finally be seen roaming the grounds. The little fellow spends his days at the Regenstein African Journey area—eating, shadowing his mom, and playing. He’s growing fast, too. Born at 60 pounds, King is already tipping the scales at a whopping 200 pounds.

The Lincoln Park Zoo is open daily 10am to 5pm. Admission is free.
