Boston’s top baby shops pick their favorite spring clothes
Though winter still has some legs, we’re beyond ready to shop for spring. Here, local shop owners and buyers chime in on some of their faves for the new season.
At Jamaica Plain’s Hatched, owner Liz Vittori Koch is all about Miou Kids, a Canadian company whose clothes are hand-knit in Peru. They use organic cotton, low-impact alpaca, and eco-friendly dyes—plus they give 5 percent of profits to support the education of the knitters’ children. Koch loves the Kimono wrap ($72, pictured center) and yellow Tunisian pants ($64). For boys, she likes the Kidscase romper ($39, pictured left). And over at Brookline’s Tiny Hanger, owner Lucia Berman Rossi loves the Pima cotton Feather Baby set for boys ($68). For girls, she’s all about the Mayoral poplin flower dress ($48, pictured right), which is bright enough to convince us that spring may actually be near.
