Make Room For Sweets
Cakeology opens a bigger shop
Sugar may be evil, but treats this good are worth the splurge. Run by Cupcake Wars winner Victoria Donnelly, Cakeology has earned a sweet rep for its beyond-yummy cakes and cupcakes. And now the teeny Province Street shop is moving into a much larger space at 290 Washington St., with an expanded menu of sugary snacks like homemade marshmallows and lollipops. As always, you’ll find six classic cupcake flavors including Boston cream pie, red velvet, and double chocolate—but look out for rotating specials such as chocolate chip pancake, key lime, or root beer float. They've got birthdays covered, too: order at least one month in advance for a custom cake (starting at $35 for a six-inch round), or grab something from the to-go case. Gluten-free and vegan confections are available upon request.
