Kid Eats, Right Where We Need Them

Pastoral opens near the Children's Museum

We love the Boston Children's Museum, but it’s a pain to pack a lunch with every visit. So we’re totally thrilled that Pastoral, a yummy Neapolitan pizza joint from Todd Winer (longtime executive chef at The Met restaurants), opened yesterday—just two blocks from the museum. There's pizza (of course), plus a stellar kids' menu—rigatoni in homemade tomato sauce, chicken meatballs, grilled cheese with salad. Each dish is $8 and anything can be made gluten-free. They've also got about 20 beers on tap (just sayin'), plus Shirley Temples for $2 (with free refills), and gelato for $3.50.
