Shower Activities That Don't Suck
Fresh ideas for celebrating the mom-to-be
No one wants to play "Guess the Baby Food." But you've gotta do something to move things along at a baby shower. So once you've settled on a theme (cruise Hostess Blog for ideas) and sorted out the menu, consider some of these subtly entertaining activities.
Love vs. Design offers (free) printable Baby Mad Libs that guests can fill out independently. We also like the idea of a group project, like a homemade ABC’s Book: just provide card stock pages and cut-out block letters for guests to decorate, then assemble them into a scrapbook. Etsy seller One Yellow Dot has printable Photo Booth Props ($8) that could lend some humor to a Shutterfly Custom Photo Story Keepsake. And perhaps the most practical idea, encourage guests to bring their number one new mom "must have" to fill a Basket of Wisdom for the guest of honor.
