A Few Drops

Gearing up for rainy days

Parenting is a little more difficult on rainy days. It just is. Of course the irony is, kids freaking love the rain. The puddles. The gear. All of it. For what it’s worth, we’ve rounded up some rainy-day items they’ll flip for—so at least one of you can enjoy all those springtime showers.

A Superhero Raincoat.
Western Chief’s Batman Raincoat is $50 at piperlime.com. And yes, they’ve got Superman, too.

A Trenchcoat Just Like Mama’s.
Burberry’s baby girl trench is a whopping $265, but we simply couldn’t do a rain-gear roundup without it.

Bad-Ass Rainboots.
Chooka’s chic toddler rain boots are hard to find, but Amazon currently has their brilliant Tattoo City version in turquoise and black.

Silly Umbrellas.
Western Chief has ladybugs, frogs, monsters, and more, for $16 at westernchief.com.

I-Can-Do-It-Myself-Boots.
Zappos has a great selection of handled rainboots by Hatley, Western Chief Kids, and Kamik.

Boots That Are Even Preppier Than Hunter Wellies.
Newcomer Zoubaby sells monogrammed wellies for babies, toddlers, and moms.

Rainy Day Good Times.
To kill the time stuck indoors, try unique DIY projects like make-your-own cupcake wrappers, or make-your-own play-doh.
